ABOUT PCR

We are a privately held Argentine company with a track record of more than 100 years in the country, specializing in oil and gas production, cement, and renewable energy. Through our three business units, we develop long-term projects that generate economic and social value in the communities and regions where we operate.

We are the oldest privately held company in Argentina’s oil industry, with exploration and production operations in the provinces of La Pampa and Mendoza. Internationally, we hold six exploration and production blocks in Ecuador, where we are positioned as the third-largest private oil company in the country, producing 21,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Since 2022, we have also been developing energy investment projects in the United States.

In our Cement division, we are the leading manufacturer in the Patagonian region. We operate two production plants located in Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut) and Pico Truncado (Santa Cruz), with a total installed capacity of 800,000 tons per year.

Since 2016, we have developed our Renewable Energy division, which is now a key player in wind power generation in Argentina. We operate four wind farm complexes across the provinces of Santa Cruz, Buenos Aires, and San Luis, with a combined installed capacity of 582 MW.

OUR HISTORY

We are the oldest company
in the oil and gas industry. 1921 Founded as Compañía Ferrocarrilera de Petróleo S.A.,
we began as a company dedicated to hydrocarbon production in Argentina. OIL & GAS 2026 1952 We began cement production at
our plant in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia,
Chubut Province. 1952 As a result, we became the leading
cement manufacturer in the Patagonian region.
 CEMENT 1921 1990 We began operations in
El Sosneado oil field in Mendoza and El Medanito oil
field in La Pampa. 1990 Both fields are part of the Neuquén Basin,
Argentina’s most important hydrocarbon-producing basin. OIL & GAS 1952 1999 We expanded our oil and gas
operations into Ecuador 1999 Through Petroriva, we acquired a 40%
interest in the Palanda and Pindo oil fields. OIL & GAS 1990 2008 We inaugurated our cement plant
in Pico Truncado, Santa Cruz. 2008 One of the most modern facilities in Argentina,
it increased PCR’s production capacity to
800,000 tons per year. CEMENT 1999 2014 We acquired full ownership
of our oil assets in Ecuador. 2014 We acquired Petroriva’s remaining interest
in the Palanda and Pindo oil fields.

OUR OPERATIONS

ARGENTINA

With more than 100 years of history, PCR is an Argentine-owned company with operations in Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy and Cement. It is the oldest privately held oil company in Argentina, the leading cement manufacturer in the Patagonian region, and one of the country’s leading renewable energy producers.

In Renewable Energy, PCR operates four wind farm complexes across the provinces of Buenos Aires, San Luis and Santa Cruz, with a total installed capacity of 545 MW. In Cement, the company operates two production plants in Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut) and Pico Truncado (Santa Cruz), with a total installed capacity of 800,000 tons per year. In Oil & Gas, PCR conducts exploration and production activities in the provinces of La Pampa and Mendoza.

ECUADOR

PCR has been operating in Ecuador since 1999, where it conducts crude oil exploration and production activities. With a track record of more than 27 years in the country, the company has established itself as Ecuador’s third-largest private oil producer, with operations in the Oriente Basin of the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Today, PCR operates six exploration and production blocks located in the provinces of Orellana and Sucumbíos, with production of approximately 11,500 barrels of oil per day (bpd). Through safe, responsible operations and a strong commitment to people, the environment, and local communities, PCR drives the country’s growth.

UNITED STATES

PCR has been present in the United States since 2021, where it operates in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. In 2024, the company acquired a 15% interest in the Cherokee unconventional project, located in Oklahoma within the Anadarko Basin.

PCR is also expanding its renewable energy business through the construction of three solar parks in the Houston, Texas area, further strengthening its presence in one of the world’s most significant energy markets.

URUGUAY

PCR has maintained a presence in Uruguay since 2013 through an operation that plays a strategic role in the company’s regional management, providing administrative, financial, tax, and corporate support to its international operations.

The operation also manages international investments and provides legal and corporate support to the Group’s various companies. In addition, it plays a key role in crude oil marketing and trading activities, overseeing contract structuring and execution, as well as price monitoring and collections management.

CHILE

PCR Trading S.A. was founded in the city of Punta Arenas, Chile, in 2003, as part of the PCR group’s strategy to expand its export markets for construction materials. It is a company specialized in foreign trade, international trading, and the strategic sourcing of materials and industrial supplies, with a focus on the construction, infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors.

Its main area of influence is concentrated in southern Chile, operating in the regions of Magallanes, Aysén, and southern Los Lagos.

The company acts as a commercial and logistics integrator, comprehensively managing supplier identification, international negotiation, importation, and product distribution — optimizing total costs, timelines, and regulatory risks for its clients and projects.
